The Research Triangle Park offers incredible events year-round, from the arts to dining, but it really has some special events during the fall. We have a full events calendar to appreciate everything from apple picking to wine festivals. Here are some of our favorite ways to experience the Fall Events in the Research Triangle Park.

Good Hope Farm Harvest Festival, Cary, NC

Many new residents to Cary and in the Triangle area, are unaware of its rich agricultural roots. Good Hope Farm is a staple and offers programming year-round, but is especially vibrant during fall. Enjoy live music, local food, craft vendors, environmental education, kids activities and more at Harvest Fest. This is a free outdoor event the whole family can enjoy. There are two Harvest Fests, October 21, and November 18.

Raleigh International Wine Festival

While it is October, we have a number of great wine events this fall. Raleigh International Wine Festival welcomes over 25 win supplies. Armenia, Moldova, Hungary, Uruguay, Chile, Argentina, Greece, Portugal, Spain, Italy, France, Australia, Lebanon, Georgia, New Zealand, Austria, and of course domestic wines will be served alongside food Trucks, desserts and performances all day. October 22, 12-9 pm.

FestiFall Arts Market, Chapel Hill

FestiFall is an Arts Market taking place on the 21st and 28th of October on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill. If you are a lover of the arts or are looking to see
local crafts and artisans, this is a great place to explore the scene and grab a bite to eat in Chapel Hill.

NC Wine Festival, Cary

This is such a fun event at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary. For over 20 years the North Carolina Wine Festival celebrates local North Carolina wineries, artisans, music, and food. This year the bands are The Dave Matthews Tribute Band and Chairmen of the Board. Koka Booth Amphitheatre is one of the top venues in Cary and we cannot recommend it enough.

October 28

Clouds Brewing Oktoberfest

Clouds Brewing is one of the darlings of the craft brew brands in the Triangle. They not only offer Oktoberfest on October 28 but also offer festivals year-round and have outposts around the Triangle. This is a great event with light bites and of course lots of festive brews.

October 28.

Chapel HIll Harvest Festival

This is a great event, with hay rides, pumpkin carving, and more. Not only is there a main fair, but also a bonfire with marshmallow roasting and Smores toasting. This is a celebration of nature and of the harvest time of the year. October 28, 3-7pm.

Durham Barktobergest

Durham Parks and Recreation and Beyond Fences join forces to offer a dog-friendly community event that serves a greater cause. There are vendors, a costume contest, a canine food drive, and much more. This is a really fun event and great for all ages. October 28.

Fall Fest Block Party, Raleigh

Celebrate the season with your Raleigh neighbors and enjoy food trucks, Halloween costume contests, vendors, games, and more. The musical lineup will include Gouge Wrestling and Crank Arm Brewing. No tickets are required. October 28.

Pumpkin Patches and Apple Picking

Phillips Farms

Phillips Farms is a family-owned farm in Cary offering a Fall Family Fun Park. From a petting zoo to a corn maze, bounce houses, and fresh donuts, there is really no better place to have a fresh fall day, than at this farm. It has recently relaunched its offerings and is $20 per person.

Blueberry Thrill Farm

Blueberry Thrill Farm is a family-owned, second-generation farm operation that has been a go-to near the Triangle for U-pick. Summer produce includes blueberries, blackberries, peaches, apples, heirloom tomatoes, flowers, and farm-fresh eggs, while fall produce includes apples, muscadines, pumpkins, and more farm-fresh eggs. The farm is located in Gibsonville, about halfway between Burlington and Greensboro, NC.
