This festival is a triple threat, the Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival is a must-visit event for aficionados of these dangerous delights. This is a traveling festival and The Triangle has hosted it last year as well. It features the nations top selections of craft beers, bourbons and BBQ.

NCMA Summer Concerts

For a slightly less raucous summer event, The North Carolina Museum of Art (NCMA) offers a series of outdoor summer concerts. Set against the picturesque backdrop of the museum's lawn, concerts this season are a diverse lineup of artists spanning various genres, from classical and jazz to rock and folk. Plan a picnic dinner, and enjoy.

Summer Movies at Dorothea Dix Park

Another great idea for a picnic dinner night is to head to Dorothea Dix Park for their outdoor movie experience. The Summer Movies at Dorothea Dix Park showcase a selection of family-friendly films that run all summer long. Be sure to check the weather before preparing your picnic, they do cancel in the rain.

Flushfest on the Eno

This is a first. In the name of improving global sanitation is a new festival in The Triangle, Flushfest. You read that right.
