Hawthorn is a blend of modern American cuisine with international touches, and this is high dining. The menu changes frequently, and it serves dinner. This is a great special occasion dining destination.
OakLeaf
Location: Carrboro
This Carrboro eatery celebrates the farm-to-table concept, featuring a locally sourced menu. It has a really inviting atmosphere without pretension. It is a go-to spot for those who appreciate connection to the community through their dining experience.
Osteria Georgi
Location: Chapel Hill
Ready to cozy up for delicious Italian? Osteria Georgi is a classic Italian restaurant with handcrafted pasta to slow simmered meats. Each dish is exceptional, perfect for a special occasion or a low-key night out.
Seraphine
Location: Durham
Seraphine is a more modern spot on our list with global influences and locally sourced produce and meats. It is a hot spot in the Research Triangle Park.
Nanas Rockwood
Location: Durham
Nana's is renowned for its classic American cuisine with a modern twist, recipes are all derived from the chef's grandmothers which gives the dining experience a familiar feeling, but the food is anything but ordinary. This is one of the best dining spots and really worth the trip or visit.

Location: Raleigh
Gussies is a laid-back bottle and bites newcomers with a bold approach to Southern cuisine. From fried chicken to a superbly curated cocktail menu, it is a metaphoric menu with nods to college ethos but with a modern twist.
La Montaña
Location: Carrboro
Latin America meets the RTP at La Montana. A true Latin Fusion restaurant that incorporates thoughtful nods to Southern cuisine and utilizes local produce and purveyors. This is a great new addition!
M Test Kitchen
Location: Cary
Voted one of the best new restaurants by Raleigh Magazine in 2023, people are buzzing about M Test Kitchen. It is Asian fusion and has several locations, but each with its unique concept and menus. This would be a great place to celebrate the Chinese and Lunar New Year!
Saffron Indian
Location: Cary
The Triangle offers many diverse options for visitors and residents and Saffron is an upscale Indian addition in Cary. It is as well suited for a special occasion as it is for takeout and a date night. If you find yourself with Indian cravings, Saffron is a great choice.
The Research Triangle Park has a culinary scene that is continually receiving high marks from local and national critics alike.
