Pittsboro is a town that thrives in the arts all year long. It is small (just over 4,000 people) and quiet, which makes it perfect for the development of artists and musicians, and many of them come here for that reason.
Chatham Artists Guild
A recognized group that encourages people all over North Carolina to get into the arts is the Chatham Artists Guild, which has been around for 24 years. They also aim to connect artists with patrons, and provide training for artists.
They regularly host various exhibits of local artists, as well as the works of artists from around the state. The Studio Tour is free, and introduces the artists, their local studios and their art.
