Flowering
Where to see the prettiest blooms in the Triangle? Sarah P. Duke Gardens has incredible daffodils, poppies, cherry trees, and much much more.
Al Fresco Dining
If you are thinking about dining, you are probably thinking about dining outdoors. There are over 68 parks in Durham alone, and most have picnic benches. It is a great time of year to explore nature and we have incredible markets with the freshest local food, prepared, and plain, to put together an epic picnic. If you are looking for more of a patio al fresco dining, The American Tobacco Campus is a restored factory and has several options for outdoor dining, and also learning about the history! Spring Sports
Durham Bulls hit the diamond this spring and it is a wonderful time to enjoy a baseball game. Made infamous by the movie Bull Durham, the Durham Bulls games are a great way to enjoy the Triangle.
Take a Hike
The Triangle has wonderful hiking. Whether you want to mountain bike or hit the trails with a friend, Eno River Trail and The American Tobacco Trail are different styles of hiking that offer a good amount of variation in sites. We have a guide to hiking here!

The American Tobacco Campus hosts a family friendly night market showcasing Durham's creativity with all types of local vendors.
Taste of Soul NC | May 27, 2023
Bounce houses, snow cones, southern food, and much more! This is a really great event for family and friends to come together in celebration of soul food.
American Dance Festival | Performances beginning June 8, 2023
2023 is the 90th season of one of the largest celebrations of modern dance. Over six weeks every summer in Durham, the American Dance Festival brings nationally and internationally renowned ensembles and performances that are open to the public at venues across the city.
NC Juneteenth Celebration | June 19, 2023
Juneteenth celebrates, June 19th, 1865, when the Emancipation Proclamation was finally read to enslaved Black people in Texas. Here's a link to Juneteenth celebrations throughout the Triangle area.
