The Durham Farmers' Market is a favorite destination for residents of the Bull City and people from all around the Triangle. Conveniently located in downtown Durham, the farmers market is a source for fresh food and produce, with all vendors coming from no more than 70 miles away.
Open all year round, the Durham Farmers Market features farmers from throughout the state selling locally grown, in-season produce. Sweet corn, tomatoes, peppers, peaches, apples, and watermelon are just a few of the favorites.
But if you’ve never been to the market before, there are some unexpected treats you can find:
Craft Beer, Wine & Beverages
If you’re looking for something to drink, the Durham Farmers' Market is the place for you. Local breweries, offer their year-round and seasonal brews, and a local winery sells its distinctive North Carolina wines. There is also a tea purveyor and a coffee roaster. For something really different, one of the area’s only meaderies can be found at the market.

All of the buzz surrounding the Durham Farmers' Market might be about the honey. Four apiarists at the market sell honey produced by local bees. Some also sell beeswax and beeswax candles, as well as jams and jellies for the PB&J enthusiasts.

If you just love to shop, vendors at the Durham Farmers Market offer distinctive crafts, unique gifts, and specialty items. You can find photography, pottery, jewelry, soaps and much more. The selection changes with the season, so you can find something new every visit.
Grain-fed Chicken, Cows, and Bison
Fruits and vegetables are nice, but if you’re looking for a main course, the Durham Farmers' Market features more than a dozen farms selling meat and poultry. Everything from grass-fed beef and chicken to ducks, cornish game hens, goats and even bison can be found.
