The Triangle boasts a wide range of breweries and craft beer styles, and beer enthusiasts can sample many of them at the area's three best beer festivals.

A couple weeks ago, local beer blogger Kyle Rubeling offered some of the can't-miss breweries in the Triangle. But if you want to try them all at once (and you have a designated driver), a beer festival is the way to do it.

If you've been living in a cave for the last 30 years, the phrase “food truck” might conjure up images of a sandwich truck at a construction site or a truck serving greasy fast food on a college campus. Once called roach coaches, food trucks have grown up. Today's food truck are nothing like their ancestors.

About Maple View Farms in Hillsborough, NC

Maple View Farm is a dairy farm in Hillsborough, North Carolina. The farm originated in Maine in the 1800’s and moved to North Carolina in 1963. About 400 acres are devoted to farming and dairy operations. The farm raises its own Holstein dairy cows and sells some as breeding stock. The farm has developed its own brand of Holstein called Maview. Any registered Holstein in the world with that brand was bred on Maple View Farm.

The farm also grows barley and corn which it uses as feed for the herd in addition to the farm grass. The grains increase the protein content of the milk. There are four holding ponds on the farm to store water for irrigation. These holding ponds have enabled the farm to continue operations in times of drought. The farm also

Things to do this 4th of July

This coming weekend we celebrate Independence Day, the day we declared our independence from England. We usually get together with family and friends for a day of fun, parades, barbecues, picnics, concerts, and, of course, fireworks! This year, you can actually catch fireworks on both Sunday and Monday if you plan ahead. Some places are celebrating the holiday on Sunday and others on Monday, the 4th. Discover The Historic Town of Hillsborough, North Carolina

About 12 miles north of Chapel Hill and northwest of Durham sits the historic town of Hillsborough. The town is convenient to Research Triangle Park, Duke University, UNC Chapel Hill, and the Raleigh-Durham airport. Although the town is geographically broad, the population is relatively small at about 6,400 residents.

Most of the residents have white-collar jobs. They are professionals, office workers, service providers, and salespeople. Hillsborough is also home to a substantial number of artists and designers. The population is ethnically and culturally diverse.

Over the past decade, the Triangle area has become one of the most popular areas of the country to live and work, and for good reason. A prime geographical location and a robust economy have paved the way for a huge influx of families and individuals relocating from out of state.
