Atlantic Beach

Atlantic Beach is only 150 miles from Raleigh Durham and offers long white sand beaches, fishing, boating and much more. Whether you are there for a day or a longer vacation, we recommend checking out the Pine Knolls Shore Aquarium and Fort Macon State Park.

Carolina Beach

Carolina Beach is as historic as it is beautiful. 140 miles away from The Triangle, it has been a main stay of Raleigh Durham residents since the 19th century. Its boardwalk continues to be a diversion for families and during the summer there are amazing music festivals and special events. It also is close to a state park, the Carolina Beach State Park, for those looking for a more wild natural experience.

Sunset Beach

Sunset Beach is a two hour and forty five minute commute, and worth every second! Located on the southern shores of North Carolina, this is a great beach for nature lovers. It offers bike  trails, boating, and a 1300 acre preserve called Bird Island. There are nature tours and luxury golfing at Sea Trail Golf Club, and Carolina Shores and Country Club.

 

White Lake

White Lake is around an hour and a half drive and but is said to transport visitors to the Caribbean. It is a lake in the middle of North Carolina, but has white sand beaches and crystal water, making it an incredible destination. It has been a destination for decades and has a vibrant summer resort community. You can visit nearby plantations when you would like a break from the sun and white sand. It is also noteworthy because it is considered to be one of the safest beaches for families.
