Your real estate attorney performs the due diligence on the property and assures you that the title is free and clear of encumbrances and that the terms of your contract are met. Attorneys in North Carolina work issue title insurance, so if you have a good referral for an attorney the title agency is included. Why not choose an attorney online, isn't the law standard? Yes and no. An inexperienced real estate attorney will not understand nuances and complexities of real estate contracts. While most contracts are fairly straightforward, if you have addendums or stipulations that are deal make or breakers and they are written poorly, the contract and addendums will not be enforceable.
