Governors Club in Chapel Hill

Governors Club is a gated golf community consisting of over 1,200 home sites on 1,600 acres of beautiful rolling hills and wooded land. Chapel Hill Country Club

Chapel Hill Country Club is an 18-hole golf course originally designed by Gene Hamm and later redesigned by John LaFoy. This course has challenging hills, valleys, ponds, and creeks. It is surrounded by a peaceful neighborhood.

This private country club has a 90-year history offering great golf, tennis, and aquatics. It has a beautiful Southern style clubhouse with many amenities. The club takes great pride in executive chef, Jimmy Reale, and a range of gourmet offerings utilizing locally sourced organic foods.

The Oaks is the golf course community that surrounds the Chapel Hill Country Club. Original homes were built in the 1970s, but more recent sections were developed in the 1990s. New homes are still being built in the community. Homes and lots vary in size, providing a multitude of choices. Hope Valley Country Club in Durham

Hope Valley Country Club is an 18-hole Donald Ross golf course. Even though four additional notable golf course architects have updated the course over the years, the layout of the course is almost identical to the original Ross layout.

The country club also has nine tennis courts and tennis programs for all levels of players. If you are into swimming, the club has two recently renovated swimming pools: a recreational pool and a lap pool.

If you are into food, the club has five dining facilities featuring casual to fine dining. It also has many rooms for private dining and events of all sizes, each with breathtaking views of the golf course.

Hope Valley is made up of more than 900 homes, with more than 125 homes in the historic core of the neighborhood. The homes surround the golf course and sit along winding roads and rolling hills. Street names remind residents of old England. Most homes were built from the 1920s to the 1960s and range from 1,500 to 8,000 square feet. Prices range from the $200,000s to over $3,000,000 with the average single-family home selling in the $500,000+/- range in 2016.

Croasdaile Country Club in Durham

The Croasdaile golf course was designed in 1966 by George W. Cobb on land that was originally a dairy farm. In 2002, it was redesigned by golf course architect John LaFoy. The golf course weaves up and down through various elevations. There are very few contiguous holes, so players feel privacy and seclusion while they golf. With several large putting and chipping greens players can hone their skills at any time.

Tennis enthusiasts will enjoy the opportunity to play on one of the 6 outdoor, lighted tennis courts. And swimmers will enjoy the newly renovated pool.
